Short description:
Dragoș Pop began his teaching career at the Romanian-American University in 2007, the year in which he graduated from the Bachelor’s program of the School of Computer Science for Business Management within the same higher education institution. He later attended the Economic Informatics Master’s program at the RAU and then attended doctoral studies in the same field at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ended without defending the thesis, PhD ABD). Between 2007 and 2015 he worked as RAU professor, a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Information Systems for Operations Management and, for almost 2 years, director of the IT&C Center of the university. He was a member of several research projects and has more than 15 published scientific articles, with more than 120 citations.
Dragoș is passionate about web development, having over 15 years of experience in the field. Since 2015, he has been active within the TUD Group / Verde Smart Data where he designs, develops and implements applications using web technologies for the group’s clients.
Although the main activities are frontend and backend development and project management, Dragoș also deals with business analysis, database design, management and performance tuning, ui/ux, testing, devops, sysops, systems design and cyber security.

Hobbies:
Dragoș usually listens to electronic music when he works, but his favorite artists from various musical genres are Rammstein, Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Bloodhound Gang, Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys, Green Day, Imagine Dragons, Blink-182, Red Hot Chili Peppers and others.
In his spare time, Dragoș listens to podcasts, watches documentaries and a series of creators on YouTube on topics such as those described above. His favorite authors include Neil deGrase Tyson, Brian Greene, Brian Cox, Sean Caroll, Sabine Hossenfelder, Lawrence Krauss, Michio Kaku, Sam Harris, Matt Ridley and others.
