The admission procedure at the Romanian-American University
The Romanian-American University in Bucharest (RAU) – a private educational institution established in 1991 with the mission of promoting excellence in education, innovation, and research by highlighting the educational values of the American higher education in the context of the rich traditions of the Romanian education – invests young people’s education and performance by financially supporting its students through scholarships, including full tuition coverage for its top-performing students.
Annually, hundreds of BA and MA students have the opportunity to study in a prestigious private university without personal financial investment. The University has provided over 6,500 scholarships (performance, study and social scholarships) with the aim of maintaining a high level of academic performance among RAU students.
Applications for RAU BA programs taught in English, can be submitted for the 2023 Admission until 26th of July 2023 online on the admitere.rau.ro platform or directly in the campus from 10th of July to 27th of July 2023. For candidates from third countries, the deadline is 25th of August 2023 or 26th of September 2023, depending on the need to obtain a study visa for Romania. Admission is based on an online interview conducted in English and a document attesting the level of English proficiency.
Regarding applications for the RAU MA programs taught in English for the 2023 Admission session, they are open until 24th of July 2023, online on the admitere.rau.ro platform or directly in campus from 10th of July to 25th of July 2023. For candidates from third countries, the deadline is 25th of August 2023. The admission procedure includes the evaluation of an essay, written according to the specific requirements of the selected master program, an online interview conducted in English, and a document attesting the level of English proficiency.
