Why study at the University of Arizona?
Given travel restrictions, school delays and visa moratoriums, the Romanian-American University created flexible, affordable options with the University of Arizona to allow students in Romania to earn a full U.S. degree – or U.S. transfer credits – with full access to the RAU campus.
“Through its student-oriented and, overall, society-oriented study programs and academic activities, our university contributes to the promotion of excellence in education, scientific research and innovation, and to the promotion of professional, moral and social responsibility. Our University exists and obtains excellence only through and for the people. By joint and ongoing performance of all the members of the academic community, the Romanian-American University preserves and benefits from its good name, being one of the most respected private universities in Romania and a trustworthy partner for countless international universities, business communities and local and international organizations.”
“Not only does Global Campus help solve the mobility challenges of today caused by COVID-19, it is a meaningful and long-term effort at meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goal of providing accessible quality education to the world.”
Students can choose from two options:
- Complete a full U.S. undergraduate degree, graduate degree or graduate certificate online with complete access to the RAU campus.
- Enroll in a pathway program of online courses to prepare for virtually any major and for eventual study in the U.S.
Both programs include in-person tutoring and academic support, as well as access to RAU computer labs and study areas. Clubs and community activities are also included through RAU.
The Romanian-American University, one of the most respected private universities in Romania, was founded in 1991 whose mission consists in education, teaching, scientific research and innovation, the cultivation of scientific values and of universal culture in general.
“The University was set up having as a purpose the promotion of the educational values of the American higher education, against the background of the rich traditions of the Romanian education. In accomplishing this desideratum, the starting point was that in the United States of America higher education stands on the model of the behavior-driven American society based on the efficient organization of activity, resilient sense of duty, the cultivation of work spirit, self-respect and respect for the others, fair competition throughout one’s lifetime, competition with all the others and, last but not least, with oneself”, as Ion Smedescu Ph.D. Professor and RAU Founding President, declared himself.
The University of Arizona is a top-ranked public, research university in Tucson, Arizona, USA, and is classified as a Carnegie Foundation Research 1 institution.
