Romanian-American University: 32 years of excellence in education
Over 48,000 lives changed through education, through the opportunity and chance of extraordinary educational experiences, represent the materialization of the Founding Rector’s dream, Prof. Dr. Ion Smedescu. Today, with each of the 32 years of academic dedication, performance, and a desire for self-improvement, this dream has provided society with an educational and integrated research platform centered on the real needs of our student, searching for and offering sustainable solutions for humanity, a university for the future – the Romanian-American University.

Our students are offered an academic environment with integrated educational experiences, in an international academic environment. Courses with foreign professors, studies alongside international students from over 30 countries, Erasmus+ programs, activities of the Asian Studies Department or the American Studies Center, student clubs activities, continuing education programs, conferences with guests from all over the world, or partnerships with the socio-economic environment, both national and international, offer our students a variety of opportunities that can change their future, guiding them on the beautiful path of educational and human transformation.
To mark the 32nd anniversary, alongside the events already held or in progress in our campus, RAU JOB FAIR and RAUfest, the Romanian-American University has designed a mural art project. Thus, through creativity and collaboration, the central hall of our university has become an inspirational space created by and for students, alongside artist Wanda Hutira. The sky symbolizes freedom, inspiration, and knowledge, complementing perfectly with the key message addressed to our community and to the entire humanity: “Together we are limitless!”. At the beginning of the project, only the framework and the first two words of the key message were drawn, and afterwards, our students defined in a creative workshop the continuation of what represents our community: LIMITLESS. From a graphic point of view, the participating students painted, in a few days of the workshop, the sketch that emerged from the concept of the message and also captured the multicultural dimension of our university through the graphic representation of the emblematic birds of different countries from which our students come from.
Our mission to provide integrated educational experiences, to be alongside young people on their path of human and professional transformation, and to contribute to the sustainable development of tomorrow’s society, continues successfully, day by day, through people and for people, consolidating the foundations of an educational system adapted to our needs and those of future generations.
