The Romanian-American University announced the launch of a strategic partnership with the University of York and CITY College for dual-degree study programs
The Romanian-American University announced at a conference, the launch of a tripartite academic partnership with the prestigious University of York in the United Kingdom and CITY College in Greece to offer dual-degree educational programs for master and bachelor studies. The study programs offered within the partnership provide students with a unique opportunity to obtain a degree from both institutions and benefit from an international educational experience without any additional costs apart from tuition fees.
The master degree programs cover current and future fields where the demand for specialists in the job market is continuously increasing. The MA in Digital Marketing and Social Media and the MA in International Economic Relations and European Union Studies, which offers training in economic diplomacy, will be available starting this autumn. Additionally, from the fall of 2024, there will be available a dual-degree bachelor program within this partnership, which provides prospective students with the opportunity for pre-enrolment.
Representatives from all three partner institutions participated in the event hosted by the Romanian-American University, including Costel Negricea, Ph.D. habil. Professor – Rector of the Romanian-American University, Yannis Ververidis – Rector of CITY College, University of York Europe Campus, and Prof. Steve King – Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor, University of York. The event aimed to bring together representatives from the fields of study in which future graduates will work to demonstrate the importance of training new generations of professionals, both in the field of diplomacy, with guests such as H.E. Mr. Andrew James Noble – Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Romania, Mr. Nikolaos Vlahakis – Minister Plenipotentiary, Head of Public Diplomacy, Embassy of Greece, H.E. Mr. Ambassador Cristian Diaconescu – President of the Foreign Business Center, as well as the field of Digital Marketing and Social Media, represented by Cristian China Birta – Managing Partner of Kooperativa 2.0.
Through this partnership, the three universities aim to provide an exceptional study experience supported by a remarkable team of professors, bringing together all the advantages of a top-quality educational experience.

MA in Digital Marketing and Social Media
The master program in Digital Marketing and Social Media focuses on specific communication channels in a strategic marketing context. The program balances theoretical knowledge and practical application in the field of digital marketing, marketing analysis, and social media marketing, preparing students for a successful career in this constantly evolving field. The program will be constantly updated based on the evolving market conditions and innovation in the digital and social media environment through embedded research and practitioner perspectives.
MA in International Economic Relations and European Union Studies
The master program in International Economic Relations and European Union Studies provides students with knowledge and skills to work in fields such as economic diplomacy, international economic relations, European Union public policy, and global governance issues. It is based on four pillars: knowledge, skills, experience, and career opportunities. The program focuses on developing critical skills and understanding the complexity of international economic relations, preparing students for a wide range of career opportunities.
A new bachelor program in marketing available in the fall of 2024
Starting in the autumn of 2024, the Romanian-American University will also offer a unique bachelor program in Marketing within this partnership. This innovative program will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of marketing principles and practices, developing their critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. The dual-degree bachelor program, which is available for pre-enrolment, ensures a quality educational experience without additional costs apart from tuition fees.
Through these master and bachelor programs, the Romanian-American University and CITY College, University of York Europe Campus, offer students a rigorous and market-oriented higher education. Students will benefit from the expertise of professors from abroad and professors from the Romanian-American University.
