The American Studies Center within the Romanian-American University is pleased to invite you to the online conference „DocuBot, the Facebook chatbot: The Necessary Case for Complex Research”.

Speaker’s Short Bio
- Dr. Corina Kesler holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Utopian Studies and a Master in Human Computer Interaction, both from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She has taught at the university level for more than two decades and has worked as a Senior UX Researcher for companies such as Google and Ford Motor Company
- Inspired by both her academic and industry experiences, she has recently founded her own company, called LRSNG (Leo rising) Productions. LRSNG’s mission is to revolutionize the way clients see and engage with complex research necessary for the assessment and re(design) of their products. Inspired by both “assisted guided design” and “permaculture” principles, the firm offers services that not only examine the status of a product in its present iteration, but, via backcasting and contextual inquiry, test its long-term viability and provide well-informed action steps
- Her talk is a brief introduction to this novel, complex type of research. Using relevant case studies, it identifies some of the pitfalls of current research methods and presents several actionable alternatives
